Rhodium plating

This is a technology when a piece of jewelry is coated with a layer of rhodium. Rhodium is a metal that is classified as platinum and is valued more than gold.

It is applied in such a thin layer that the original color of the metal does not change, and the jewelry only acquires a beautiful shine.

Rhodium plating technology protects gold and silver from damage and oxidation.

Rhodium plating is hypoallergenic, so after coating the product with it, it becomes safe for people who are intolerant to precious metals.

Rhodium is applied using a special electrochemical reaction. This process takes place in several stages: ultrasonic cleaning, degreasing with sulfuric acid and alkali, rinsing, steam generator, treatment with a special marker under the action of electric current or a special galvanic bath.

Rhodium plating looks especially advantageous on silver and white gold due to its whitish shine.

Rhodium plating is a coating, and therefore such jewelry should be cleaned without powders, sandpaper, hard sponges and other materials that damage the coating.
